The memorandum between Italy and Tunisia has been signed, authorizing the entry into the country of a quota of 4,000 non-seasonal Tunisian employees per year. The memorandum provides for simplified procedures for issuing visas and residence permits. In addition, as an exception to the general rule on this type of entry, the workers concerned will have the opportunity to remain in Italy even after the end of their contract, for the period of validity of their residence permit, and to access further opportunities for employment and legal residence.
